The multilmedia animation and design (MAD) academy set up in 1998 and is a division of True Life Creations, a digital design company set up in the very early 1990's which specialises in 3D for all industries and covers 3D Animation, Graphic User Interface, Research & Development of new systems and Idea Prototyping.

In July 2000, the MAD Academy became the first Authorised Discreet Trainng Center (DTC) in Australia with locations at both Adelaide and Sydney. MAD Head Office is located in Adelaide's CBD, in an area that is rapidly becoming the arts and learning precint of the city.

In 2005 MAD Academy's accreditation changed to Authorised Autodesk Training Center through the Autodesk Group's direction and through the groups aquisition of Alias Wavefront | Maya, is looking to expand its range of short and long course programs.

Mad Academy staff and instructors are also involved in the commercial side of True Life Creations production arm and below is a sample of some of the projects that they have been involved in creating.
