Autodesk Viz Fundamentals

Our Autodesk VIZ Fundamentals course is designed for architect and design professionals who want the convenience and power of the advanced 3D modeling tools, with simple animation features, primarily walk and fly-throughs, to visualize their designs accurately and realistically.

Utilizing the advanced materials, standard or real-world lighting and rendering solutions, from Scanline, Radiosity to Mental Ray or Vray you'll learn the modeling and creation tools needed to start your designs. Full coverage of Standard and Advanced materials will enable you to learn the techniques for bringing your clients' visions into reality.

In depth studies of lighting tools and techniques within the user-friendly environment of the VIZ user interface will easily allow the trainee to develop their own knowledge of how to light virtually any project, whether it's a simple 3-point lighting model or an advanced radiosity, GI or Mental Ray project.

All you need to easily move into the world of using Autodesk VIZ to realize practical 3D design projects and camera flythroughs will be available on this course.

Features and techniques covered in this course:

1. An in-depth introduction and coverage of the Autodesk VIZ interface, tools and working 3D environment, getting the user familiar and comfortable with navigating this application.

2. Practical modeling, lighting and texturing examples that show the application of the most used creation and editing tools, as well as production tips that will speed up obscure but useful functions.

3. Modeling and build examples that use the power of Editable Poly, Spline based procedural designs and maximizing the efficiency of VIZ modifiers to produce easily editable 3D models for interiors, exteriors and products and furnishings for your scenes.

4. Simple and advanced use of the Materials Editor to prepare your creations for the look you require, both stylized and realistic.

5. Lighting techniques that can be applied to interior and exterior scenes, product designs or even abstract designs and logos.

6. Useful insights and application of various rendering methods in VIZ to produce a range of output styles.

7. Animation techniques for simple and advanced camera flythroughs.
