This course is for individuals new
to combustion as well as for current
combustion users wanting to upgrade
or enhance their existing post production
skills, or perhaps change over from
other compositing and visual effects
pack ages.
The course covers the major functional
areas of the latest version of Combustion
primarily, interface, workflow and
an overview of all modules such as
Paint, Discreet's Keyer and Color
corrector, tracker and 2d particles.
Organised into a series of theory
and hands on lab assignments, the
course ensures that the student will
receive 21 hours of well paced, intensive
professional training.
Once you have completed this course,
you will have a commercial level understanding
of the latest version of Combustion.
You will also gain an insight into
professional post production disciplines
that relate directly to the post-production
Visual Effects and Compositing industry,
whether it be for Film, Broadcast,
TV, Web or Pre-Press.
This course does not just focus on
the buttons, but does cover the processes
that underlie them and the reasons
they are used in production. This
not only helps you understand the
concepts, but also how to apply them
to your own work.
This course teaches gives you a fundamental
understanding and insight into concepts
of compositing and visual effects
using the latest version of Combustion.

Pre-Requisites
No prior knowledge of Combustion is
assumed, although a working knowledge
of PC's and the Windows operating
environment is assumed.

An introduction to the basic features
and functionality of Combustion user
interface.
2. Introduction to the Paint module.
2. How to of Animating, linking and
changing the surface properties of
layers.
3. What are Channels, Mattes and Masks.
4. Working with Null Objects, Lights
and Cameras.
5. Tracking and Stabilizing.
6. Introduction to the Keyer and Color
Corrector.
7. Nesting Composites.
8. RPF files and 2D Particles.
